My 'Make Ahead' Super Bowl Spread
Happy SUPER BOWL SUNDAYYYYYYYY! If you're like me, you look forward to 3 things - none of which are the actual game, unless the Steelers are in it of course. In a VERY particular order:
However, because of my poor planning skills, I scheduled my Valentine Mini Sessions for this afternoon, and will basically be walking in the door at kickoff:( Instead of ordering pizza, which is what any reasonable person would do, I'm stubborn and want homemade football food. SOOOOOO, I am going to prep a couple of easy things that I can bust out as soon as I get home so that we still have a great spread with minimal cook time in which I can do ahead of time and will still be super yummy! Here are a couple of treats I'll be doing this AM for the big game.
Make Ahead Pepperoni Pizza Sliders

Ingredients Rolls (I'm using #kingshawaiian)
Pizza sauce or marinara sauce
Grated, or sliced mozzarella cheese
Olives, peppers, onions, mushrooms, sausage, etc. (optional toppings)
¼ c. butter
1 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. Italian seasoning
2 T. Parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cut rolls in half. Set bottom halves in a greased baking pan.
Spread pizza, or marinara sauce on the rolls in the pan.
Sprinkle a layer of grated cheese or a slice of cheese over marinara.
Layer pepperoni slices over cheese. Add another layer of cheese.
Add the top parts of the rolls.
Melt butter. Add garlic, Italian seasoning, Parmesan cheese, and a little salt.
Stir to combine. Brush over the tops of the sliders.
You can either refrigerate at this point or bake.
If you are baking immediately, bake for about 10 minutes. You want the insides to be nice and gooey and the tops to be golden brown. If the rolls get too brown before the insides are baked, cover with aluminum foil and continue baking until insides are melted.
If you are baking later, cover sliders with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking for about 10 more minutes.
If cheese still isn’t melted and the tops are golden brown, recover with aluminum foil and bake a little longer.
My other go-to's are a Seven Layer Dip and a cheese, chartcuterie, crudite, and fruit platter. I'll probably do a frozen appetizer too for one more very easy option. Love the FARM RICH Mozzarella Sticks and Jalapeño Poppers - GREAT options for a no-time-to-cook kinda situation!
Seven Layer Dip
1 can (16 ounces) refried beans
1 container (16 ounces) sour cream
1 package taco seasoning
1 package (8 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese (2 cups)
1 cup prepared guacamole
1 cup chopped tomatoes
1/2 cup sliced green onions
1/2 cup sliced black olives Tortilla chips
Spread refried beans in shallow serving dish.
Mix sour cream and Taco Seasoning Mix in small bowl until well blended. Spread over refried beans.
Top with layers of cheese, guacamole, tomatoes, onions and olives. Serve 7 layer dip with tortilla chips.
